Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Chief Executive of China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), said on Tuesday that the Hong Kong SAR government has zero tolerance for violence. 

"The Hong Kong SAR government has no tolerance for recent violence," she said, adding that she will not give up on building platform for dialogue and ending violence with law enforcement.

She also called for the protection of families of police officials and stressed that violence is not the way to solve problems.
