Casualties reported from Shanghai storefront mishap

On Sunday, a sign that fell from a storefront along Shanghai’s bustling East Nanjing Road was reported to have caused casualties. 

Investigation officials found the store, Castle of Adventures had been operated by the Shanghai Traditional Industrial Company since 2015. 

Before the accident, local authorities issued flood and typhoon prevention contingency to the business owner, calling for the structural strengthening of the signage and the strict adherence to safety and security standards. But the information was ignored. 

Two men responsible to the store, Li  Mo and Chen, were found to be criminally negligent in accordance with the law on Monday.

Meanwhile, Other suspects are being further investigated.
