The China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) said Tuesday it will carry out a thorough inspection of all vaccine products and the entire production chain of Changchun Changsheng Life Sciences Limited. 

CFDA released a statement on its website vowing to follow up on the important instructions from Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, to work on a thorough investigation into the illegal vaccine production case, with serious punishment of those found responsible.

Six key measures will be taken including assigning extra personnel to work on the investigation, a probe of the entire process of production and sales of all Changchun Changsheng Life Sciences products, a comprehensive investigation of national vaccine production enterprises, a systematic review of the vaccine life cycle supervision system, and an improved management system in China, a CFDA internal meeting concluded on Monday.
