Chang'e-4 in stable operation, sends full topographical shot

Since the lastest reports from 8 am on Friday, China's Chang'e-4 probe, Yutu-2 rover and Queqiao relay satellite are in stable working condition, and all planned operations have been carried out so far, according to the China National Space Administration.

The topographical camera deployed on the probe has taken a full shot of the landing area. The researches have produced clear 360-degree panoramic photos based on the data transmitted by Queqiao. 

The researchers have also completed the preliminary analysis of the lunar surface topography around the landing site based on the image taken by the landing camera.

Yutu-2 was successfully awakened on Thursday after the “lunch break” mode in order to reduce the heat generated by its machinery.
