Quick-thinking bus service operators made fast work of finding a child lost in Dalian City, in northeast China's Liaoning Province on Monday.

The control room for the Zhongnan Road bus terminal received a call from an elderly woman saying that her four-year-old granddaughter had gone missing at the bus station. The tearful grandmother was worried that the young girl had gotten onto a bus by herself.

The control room dispatcher on duty spread the word and urgently started a search for the missing girl. Thirteen buses along the route got the call to look for the missing child. At around 9:15 a.m., Shao Youjun, a driver on the route, spotted a young girl who fit the description of the missing child, and notified the team immediately. Much to everyone's relief, it was the missing grandchild. Her grandmother was grateful that her granddaughter was found so quickly thanks to the quick work of the kind-hearted staff at the bus station.
