BEIJING -- China's two-year treasury bond futures opened mixed on Tuesday, with the contract for settlement in September 2020 opening 0.01 percent higher at 100.64 yuan (about $14.44).

The contract for settlement in December 2020 opened 0.01 percent lower at 100.36 yuan. The contract for settlement in March 2021 had no trading at opening.

They allow investors to bet on and profit from the movements in the value of the bonds.

The treasury bond futures were launched at the Shanghai-based China Financial Futures Exchange and started trading on Aug 17, 2018.
