Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne is in China for the latest round of China-Australia Foreign and Strategic Dialogue with her Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
Both sides agree to launch another round of tariff cuts starting in 2019. By then, almost all products will enjoy zero duty in bilateral trade.
Besides economic and trade issues, the two sides also touched upon other common concerns including poverty reduction and counter-terrorism.
An Australian foreign minister is visiting China after two and a half years. Bilateral ties have been strained due to issues including the South China Sea, cyber security among others since late last year.
