China cancels TOEFL, IELTS, GRE and other overseas tests in June

As universities and colleges that the test organizers subordinate have yet to open due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of English proficiency examinations in China have been canceled in June, according to a notification released on Tuesday by the National Education Examinations Authority.

The exams canceled include the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Those who registered for the aforementioned tests will receive a full refund, read the notification.

The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) scheduled on June 28 has been canceled, and fees will be fully refunded to candidates’ registration accounts. The First Certificate in English (FCE) scheduled on June 20 has also been canceled, the notification said.
