China held scheduled military training in the South China Sea, and achieved the "expected results" from fighter jets, a Ministry of Defense spokesman said on Thursday.

Ren Guoqiang, spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, said fighter jets, including the H-6G and H-6J, underwent take-off and landing drills, long-range attacks, and targeting maritime targets day and night.
