China has confirmed that a batch of aid supplies for coronavirus prevention from US companies and institutions has arrived in Wuhan on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said Wednesday at a routine press briefing.

According to China’s National Health Commission, the US had sent experts to participate in the China-WHO joint expert inspection team. China is consulting with the WHO on relevant matters.

“We hope the US will respect the professional and authoritative advise of the WHO, be objective, fair, calm, rational, and not overreact,” Hua said. “We also hope the US could respect and cooperate with China’s prevention and control efforts.”
