BEIJING, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- China on Friday congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, saying China will respect American people's choice.

"China has been following U.S. domestic and international reactions to the U.S. presidential election," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin told a daily press briefing.

"We understand the result of the election will be determined according to the U.S. laws and procedures," Wang added.
