Chinese Deputy Minister for Culture and Tourism Li Jinzao said that the cultural center will cooperate with organizations from Myanmar's art, culture and tourism sectors to work for the interest of the local people as well as to strengthen friendship between China and Myanmar.
The center could be a great help to promote mutual understandings between people from both countries as culture exchange brings people closer, Li added.
The center can accommodate musical performances, exhibitions, seminars and training courses.
China and Myanmar signed a bilateral agreement to establish cultural centers in the two countries on September 4, 2015.
