China Eastern Airlines announced on Friday that the flights MU211 and MU212, flying between Shanghai and Manila, Philippines, are temporarily suspended, due to the epidemic situation. The suspension was made to meet the requirements of COVID-19 prevention and control in China.

The airline company said in an announcement that it will closely monitor the epidemic situation and carefully assess the risk of imported COVID-19 cases, before resuming flights between Shanghai and Manila
The Civil Aviation Administration of China demanded airlines to suspend the flight route for one week, as long as five or more incoming passengers on the flight test positive for COVID-19.
