More than 900,000 agricultural socialization service organizations have been established in China, a spokesperson for the 2021 China Agricultural Service Providers Conference said at a press conference on Sunday.
Such organizations link farmers with the national agricultural production chain and lay a foundation for nationwide modernization.
More than 900,000 socialization organizations serve 70 million farmers, according to official statistics.
In 2020, the organizations’ purview covered an agricultural production area larger than 107 million hectares of which food crops exceeded 60 million hectares.
Seeking to optimize agricultural mechanization, the Chinese government in 2020 subsidized the purchase of 13,000 unmanned aircraft for plant protection and installed nearly 23,000 Beidou agricultural terminals to enhance navigation.
During the 2021-2025 14th Five-Year Plan, China will support rural revitalization through science and technology and improve the system of industrial technology consultants.
To promote sustainable agricultural production, China in the next five years will focus on building 100 demonstration counties under the “one county and one industry” policy and 1,000 demonstration villages and towns under the “one village and one product” policy.
