China has expressed grave concerns over Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's remarks that Tokyo wants to take the lead among the Group of Seven nations to issue a statement about the situation in Hong Kong, Hua Chunying, spokesperson of China's foreign ministry, told reporters on Wednesday.

Hua said the decision of the National People's Congress on Hong Kong is China's internal affair and foreign countries have no right to interfere.
