China firmly opposes interference of any foreign forces in Hong Kong's internal affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesperson Geng Shuang said on Monday.
At a regular press briefing, Geng reiterated that the behavior of some radical protesters in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) has challenged the bottom line of the "one country, two systems" principle, which is absolutely intolerable.
"We firmly support the SAR government in taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the Liaison Office, maintain the rule of law in Hong Kong, and punish the criminals," he added.
On yesterday's radical protesters' siege in SAR, the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR has already responded, which reflects the views of the central government. The HKSAR government has also reacted.
