China has celebrated its close and comprehensive cooperation with Arab states in the run-up to the first summit between the two sides.

In a report on China-Arab cooperation in the new era released on Thursday, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs reviewed the country's time-honored friendship with Arab states, detailed what has been achieved in their economic and trade ties and people-to-people exchanges, and highlighted the two sides' mutual support on issues concerning their own core interests and shared position on hot-spot regional and international issues.
The 15,000-plus-word report comes days before the first China-Arab summit, which is scheduled to be held on December 9, 2022 in Saudi Arabia.
Describing the summit as a milestone event, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in the report that Beijing will take it as an opportunity to promote the building of the China-Arab community with a shared future in the new era so as to bring benefits to the two peoples, promote unity and cooperation between developing countries and safeguard peace and development of the world.
