US Ambassador to China Terry Branstad announced that he will leave office in early October. The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday said he has done a lot to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two peoples.
“We hope he will continue to play an active role in the healthy development of China-US relations,” said the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry at a regular press conference.
