China successfully launched Centispace-1-S1 commercial experiment satellite on Saturday, September 29, 2018, from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

The launcher, Kuaizhou-1A, is a small, solid-fueled rocket capable of lifting a 300 kg payload to a 700 km Sun-synchronous orbit.

The Kuaizhou-1A is a high precision and low-cost solid launch vehicle developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and commercialized by the China Space Sanjiang Group Corporation (EXPACE).

The mission marks the second commercial launch for the Kuaizhou-1 launch vehicle, which had its maiden flight in January 2017.
