A special team will head to Wuhan to investigate issues regarding Dr. Li Wenliang, China’s top anti-corruption agency announced on Friday afternoon.

The announcement came after Dr. Li, a 34-year-old ophthalmologist at the Wuhan Central Hospital, was pronounced death Friday morning due to the novel coronavirus infection.

The action has been approved by the central government and the team will have a comprehensive investigation into matters related to the deceased doctor, said China’s National Supervisory Commission in a statement.
