China clearly and resolutely opposes the US for its limits on Chinese company Hikvision, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lu Kang said in a routine press briefing on Wednesday.

Reports said the US is considering blacklisting the Chinese video surveillance company’s ability to buy US technology.
The US has been abusing its national power to tarnish the image of and suppress specific companies from China and other countries, which is clearly and resolutely opposed by China.
China always requires Chinese companies to conduct investment and business activities in other countries on the basis of market and international rules, said Lu.
China again calls on other countries to provide a fair, just and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese companies’ normal investment and operations, said Lu.
Trade and investment relations between countries must be based on mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, Lu added.
