Total orders for China’s large C919 passenger jet hit 815 after a domestic leasing firm ordered 30 of the domestically produced aircraft, according to the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd (COMAC) on Monday.

The deal for 50 jets signed by China Huarong Financial Leasing Company Ltd and COMAC also included 20 smaller ARJ21 jets, which brought the total order of its kind to 453 aircrafts.

The C919 jet, meant to rival the updated Boeing 737 and Airbus A320, has a standard range of 4,075 kilometers, and completed its maiden and first intercity flights last year.
