After warning Hungary not to use equipment from China’s Huawei, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reportedly again warned about "the need to guard against China's economic and other efforts to create dependence and manipulate your political system" during his visit to Slovakia. Later in Poland, Pompeo also said abandoning cooperation with China will benefit the deployment of a US military base in Poland.

“The fundamental difference between China and the US is that interfering in other countries’ internal affairs has never been China’s policy, and manipulating other countries’ politics is by no means China’s interest,” Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a routine press briefing.

For some time, the US has been tarnishing China with all kinds of trumped-up charges and fabricating "China threat" theories with no clear evidence. The core of it is to suppress Chinese companies’ rights and interest for legitimate development by national power.

It’s extremely deceptive, unjust, and immoral to interfere in economic behavior by political means, said Hua.

China hopes the US could abide by the market principles of free and fair competition and maintain a fair and just market environment without discrimination.
