BEIJING, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- China has gradually resumed construction of major railway projects amid its fight against the novel coronavirus, according to China State Railway (CSR) Group Co., Ltd.

As of Feb. 18, a total of 341 construction sites of 17 major railway projects directly managed by CSR have resumed construction, including parts of the Beijing-Shenyang high-speed railway and Beijing-Xiongan intercity railway, said the company.

Nationwide, 28 out of 116 railway projects planned for this year have resumed construction with over 70,000 people on sites, according to CSR.

Disinfection work has been strictly carried out in key areas, including construction sites, workers' canteens and dorms, and construction workers are fully equipped with masks, gloves and goggles, according to CSR.
