Monthly export volume exceeded 300,000 vehicles for five consecutive months starting in August. In October, China's automobile exports hit a new record of 337,000 vehicles.

New energy vehicles have become a new growth area in the auto sector. Exports of new energy vehicles reached 679,000 units in 2022, increasing 120 percent year on year. In November 2022, the export volume of new energy cars reached 153,000, hitting a new record for highest single-month export volume.

Europe and North America became the two major incremental markets for China's automobile exports, further consolidating China's international automobile market status.

According to the General Administration of Customs (GAC), in the first 11 months of 2022, among the top 10 countries receiving China's automobile exports, the UAE and Mexican markets shared a strong performance, with 2.7 and 1.6 times growth, respectively. The top 3 markets for China's new energy car exports are Belgium, the UK, and the Philippines.
