The second session of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the national political advisory body, and National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, will start their annual sessions in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on March 3 and 5 respectively.

Located in the North Hall of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the "Ministers' Passage" is not meant exclusively for ministers. It is also the only passage for all heads of ministries and commissions under the State Council to enter and leave the venue.

Like every year, a series of press conferences and the "Ministers' Passage" are included in the two sessions. Since its debut, "Ministers' Passage" has been another important battleground for journalists apart from press conferences, since what the ministers say is very important.

During the two sessions held last year, 30 heads, directors and ministers answered questions on tax reform, environment protection, housing, etc. in five group interviews organized in the "Ministers' passage".
