The business volume of the country's postal service last year totaled 976.4 billion yuan ($141 billion), and the business income reached 662.3 billion yuan, increasing by 32 percent and 23 percent respectively over 2016, said Ma Junsheng, head of China's State Post Bureau, in a speech to the 49th World Post Day that was celebrated Tuesday.

A total of seven postal service providers have reorganized and gone public, supporting an e-commerce retail sales volume of 5 trillion yuan, and directly creating 200,000 jobs, Ma said.
