The facility makes use of systems such as automatic bait feeding, environmental monitoring, big data analysis, 5G communication, and safety management, improving the level of refined management of marine fisheries through technological innovation.
The platform employs a variety of clean energy sources such as solar energy and wind energy and is equipped with sewage treatment equipment that is also used at the Chinese Antarctic Great Wall Station. Meanwhile, automatic equipment is applied to precisely control the feeding quantity to avoid residual bait pollution.
Genghai No.1 also integrates functions including smart fishery, recreational fishery, scientific research, and science education, attracting a mass of tourists in the first operating season.
In November of this year, the successfully-bred porphyry bream, red sea bream, and rockfish on the platform began to be put on the market.
