China's southeast Fujian Province on Thursday appointed Wang Ning deputy governor and acting governor, with Cui Yonghui appointed as deputy governor.

The appointment was made at the 20th session of the Standing Committee of the 13th Fujian Provincial People's Congress, which is the local legislature.  

Due to the adjustment in positions, the session also accepted the resignation of Tang Dengjie, who became governor of Fujian in January 2018.
