China's Hubei reports no increase in COVID-19 cases

WUHAN, April 17 (Xinhua) -- No new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were reported in central China's Hubei Province Thursday, local health authority said Friday.

On Thursday, the province reported no new deaths from COVID-19.

The provincial health commission said Hubei had 610 asymptomatic cases under medical observation by Thursday, adding that 32 such cases were reported on Thursday.

A total of 17 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospital after recovery on Thursday. All of them were from the city of Wuhan. Among the 129 patients being treated in hospital, 15 were still in severe condition and 17 others in critical condition. Enditem
