MINSK, April 4 (Xinhua) -- A delegation led by Shen Yueyue, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China, wrapped up a three-day visit to Belarus on Wednesday.

During the visit at the invitation of the House of Representatives (the lower house) of the National Assembly of Belarus from Monday to Wednesday, Shen held talks with Chairman Vladimir Andreichenko of the House of Representatives, and met respectively with Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Rumas and Marianna Shchetkina, deputy chairwoman of the Council of the Republic (the upper house) of the National Assembly.

Shen also attended celebratory events marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China hosted by the Belarusian Society of Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries.

Under the strategic guidance of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the China-Belarus comprehensive strategic partnership has seen rapid development with fruitful results in practical cooperation in various fields, Shen said.

China is willing to join efforts with Belarus to comprehensively implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, and take the opportunity of jointly building the Belt and Road to deepen communication and cooperation in such fields as economy, trade, people-to-people exchanges, culture and local-level cooperation, She said.

Shen also encouraged the two countries' legislative bodies to make new contributions to promoting continuous development of China-Belarus ties.

The National Assembly and government of Belarus spoke highly of the level of Belarus-China relations, and are looking forward to working with China to advance Belt and Road cooperation projects.

They are also willing to enhance coordination with China in all fields including between parliaments, and expand the results of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The delegation also toured China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.
