China's oldest coronavirus patient Hu Hanying, 98, was released from Wuhan Leishenshan Hospital on Sunday, together with her 54-year-old daughter.

Hu was in critical condition with high fever and cardiac problems when admitted to the hospital, and has undergone antiviral treatment, nutritional support and many psychological and physical therapies.

"The medical staff took care of us with all their hearts, as if we were family," said the Hu's daughter Ding. "They gave me a great moral boost when I was frustrated with the illness. Words are powerless to express my gratitude."
