BEIJING, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- China's paper-making industry reported steady output growth last year, official data shows.

The country's machine-made paper and paperboard output totaled 127 million tonnes in 2020, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The reading was up 0.8 percent from the previous year, said the ministry.

In December alone, the machine-made paper and paperboard output climbed 2.9 percent year on year to 12.1 million tonnes.
