Beirut (People’s Daily) – China’s peacekeeping hospital in Lebanon has successfully implemented its first air rescue mission.

A soldier from El Salvador who had been involved in intense training complained of exhaustion and was brought to the hospital. It is reported he was in a wheelchair.

China's 18th batch of medical personnel administered treatment to the soldier, but due to the rapid deterioration in his condition, the hospital applied for helicopter transportation.

A United Nations helicopter flew to the advanced hospital to pick up the patient and then transferred him to a medical facility in Beirut.

To ensure the timely and safe escort of the patient to the helicopter cabin, the Eastern Theater Security Department actively cooperated with the hospital. This saved valuable time for emergency treatment of the patient.

The patient's vital signs eventually stabilized in the Beirut hospital.

This marks the first time that the Chinese peacekeeping hospital has transferred a critical case since its establishment.
