BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhua) -- China's electricity consumption, a key barometer of economic activity, maintained growth momentum in February as the country's economy saw stable growth.

In breakdown, power consumed by the primary, secondary and tertiary industries climbed by 15.4 percent, 14.5 percent and 17.4 percent year on year, respectively, the NEA said.
Residential power consumption saw a year-on-year increase of 24.8 percent to 122 billion kWh during the period, NEA data showed.
In the first two months of the year, China's power consumption amounted to 1.35 trillion KWh, increasing by 5.8 percent from a year ago.
