There will be deepened reforms in registration work for different types of cities, the official website stated.

The restraints for large cities with a permanent population of 1 million to 3 million in urban areas will be completely lifted for settlement.

Large-scale I-type cities with a permanent population of 3 million to 5 million in urban areas should be fully open for registration.

While oversized megacities should adjust and improve the settlement policy for their score card system, to significantly increase the scale of settlement, streamline the points program, and ensure that the social security payment period and the length of residence are the main proportion, the post said.

The move is to implement the decisions made at the Central Economic Work Conference.
