China's Wu Dajing, Ren Ziwei clinch golds at Speed Skating World Cup in Dordrecht

Chinese skaters Wu Dajing and Ren Ziwei pocketed gold medals in men's 500 meters and 1,500 meters respectively at the Short Track Speed Skating World Cup in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, on Saturday.

Wu led from start to finish, clocking a time of 39.878 seconds to win the men's 500m, followed by Steven Dubois of Canada and Konstantin Ivliev of Russia.

Ren claimed a comfortable win in the 1,500m, ahead of Sjinkie Knegt of the Netherlands and Park Jang-hyuk of South Korea.

Ren's semifinal result of two minutes and 11.43 seconds was even faster than his final race result of two minutes and 20.352 seconds.

Lee Yu-bin of South Korea dominated the women's 1,500m race, ahead of Courtney Sarault of Canada and Suzanne Schulting of the Netherlands.

In the women's 500m final, Canada's Kim Boutin clinched the gold medal, Arianna Fontana of Italy claimed the silver and Elena Seregina of Russia took the bronze.
