China's Yunnan reports 2 new imported asymptomatic COVID-19 cases

KUNMING, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) - A county in southwest China's Yunnan Province reported two new imported asymptomatic COVID-19 cases on Thursday, local authorities said Friday.

Both cases are 20-year-old Chinese men recently living in Myanmar's Tachilek. They entered the county of Mengla on Wednesday and were isolated for observation. They both tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Thursday and were later confirmed as asymptomatic cases, according to the Yunnan provincial health commission.

Authorities have tracked 11 close contacts of the men together with 98 close contacts of the group of 11, and they have all tested negative for the virus.
