According to the China Meteorological Administration, laser radars have been deployed to observe the wind, and the equipment will monitor the temperature on the snow surface. Regular automatic meteorological observation stations, Doppler radars and the Fengyun meteorological satellite will also make observation more accurate.

A support system for meteorological forecasting during the Winter Olympic Games has been developed, which will guarantee the meteorological information service.
