The Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI)’s fake report, saying China is building 600 talent-recruitment programs to gain technology from abroad, is absurd, Chinese FM spokesman Zhao Lijian said on Friday.
“We have repeatedly responded to the various distorted and absurd China-related reports produced by the institute. It has been exposed many times that the ASPI has long been receiving funds from the US government and arms dealers, and has been enthusiastic about fabricating and sensationalizing anti-China issues,” Zhao said at a media briefing.
“It is so imbued with ideological prejudice that it has become an anti-China ‘vanguard’, which leads to serious doubts about its academic integrity”, Zhao added.
“The ASPI has been criticized by many people of vision in Australia, making it a laughing stock of the world. We hope and believe that Australia and other countries can make a clear distinction between right and wrong, jointly resist these absurd statements of anti-China institutions, and witness China and its development in an objective and rational way.”
