The members' passage together with deputies' passage for the National People's Congress (NPC) give reporters more opportunities to interview NPC deputies and CPPCC National Committee members since there is a passage reserved in the Great Hall of the People.

Wu Weiren, CPPCC National Committee member and the chief designer of China's lunar exploration project, answered questions from reporters in the members' passage. Wu said the Yutu-2 (jade rabbit) lunar rover is in good shape, heading northwest, and will be safe. Data collected by Yutu-2 will be open to the world. The Chang 'e-5 probe will be launched by the end of this year.
"Next year, a Mars probe will be launched," Wu added.
