Foreigners with valid residence permits for work, personal affairs, and reunion will be allowed to enter China starting Sept. 28, according to a notice jointly issued Wednesday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Immigration Administration.

If the residence permits for the above three categories expired after March 28, the holder may apply for a renewal by presenting relevant materials to the Chinese embassies or consulates abroad on the condition that the purpose of coming to China remains unchanged.

The above-mentioned personnel shall strictly abide by China's regulations on epidemic prevention and control, the notice said.
