China vows to sanction US officials involved in the Taiwan question, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said Monday.

"In view of the wrongdoings of the US, China has decided to impose sanctions on US officials who act badly on the Taiwan question," the spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a press briefing.

Hua made the remarks in response to China's specific measures on US lifting restrictions on official contacts with Taiwan.
