In accordance with the requirements of the meeting between two heads of state in Osaka, trade negotiating teams from China and US will restart economic and trade consultations on the basis of equality and mutual respect, Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Gao Feng said at a regular press briefing on Thursday.

“China’s concerns must be properly resolved. It’s believed that the two sides can take care of each other’s legitimate concerns through equal dialogue and will be able to find solutions to the problems,” Gao said.

“This is in line with the interests of both countries and both peoples, as well as the interests of the world,” Gao added.
