China vows continuation of support to Nepal's COVID-19 fight

China said on Friday that it will continue to do its best to provide support to Nepal in the country's fight against the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a press briefing.

Wang said that China will provide Nepal with a new batch of anti-epidemic supplies, adding that the materials have been collected and will be sent to the Nepali people at the soonest.

Nepal reported another record high of 9,070 COVID-19 infections on Thursday. The country has been witnessing an unrestrained surge in COVID-19 cases since April 18 when 1,015 cases were recorded.
