Chinese crash victim families arrive in Ethiopia: MFA

The families of the victims of the Ethiopian Airlines crash have arrived in Ethiopia and the Chinese embassy in Ethiopia will keep a close watch over the investigation and help the families in Ethiopia, said Lu Kang, spokesperson of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the press conference on Wednesday.

"The Chinese embassy has set up three hotlines, designated special agents to receive the calls and set up a liaison office in the hotel near the airport to provide immediately assistance to the families of the Chinese victims," Lu said.

"We noted that the Ethiopian government has set up an investigation committee for the accident and two black boxes of the crashed Ethiopian Airlines flight have been retrieved. We will continue to closely follow the developments and coordinate with the Ethiopian government to provide assistance to the bereaved Chinese victims' families," he added.
