HANGZHOU, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 200 Chinese cultural treasures will start their first European exhibition tour in Portugal from Wednesday.

The exhibition items include Longquan celadon, Longquan swords and Qingtian stone carvings, from east China's Zhejiang Province. In 2009, the firing technology of Longquan celadon was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The items are scheduled to be first exhibited in the Ajuda National Palace in Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal, from Wednesday to Friday and then tour other parts of the country.

As this year marks the 40th year of the establishment of Sino-Portugal diplomatic relations, the exhibition will provide a unique cultural feast for Portuguese audiences.

Liu Jianwu, director of Ni Dongfang Art Museum, said the exhibition is to serve as a people-to-people and cultural exchange platform between the two countries and showcase the unique charm of Chinese culture.
