The Chinese mainland reported 8 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, all imported, the National Health Commission said on Saturday.

Of new imported cases, three were detected in Shanghai, three each in Guangdong, one in Tianjin and one in Liaoning, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

A total of 84,357 cases have been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 763 remained hospitalized, including 12 in severe condition, the commission said.
