The Chinese mainland reported 107 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, of whom 90 were locally transmitted and 17 were imported, the National Health Commission said on Saturday.

Of the locally transmitted cases, 56 were detected in Heilongjiang, 15 in Hebei, 13 in Jilin, three each in Shanghai and Beijing.

A total of 4,296 imported cases had been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 293 remained hospitalized, including two in severe conditions, the commission said.
