The Chinese mainland reported 12 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday,all imported,the National Health Commission said on Wednesday.

Three new imported cases were reported in Shanghai, three in Guangdong, two in Yunnan and one each in Beijing, Tianjin, Fujian and Shandong, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

Nine COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on Wednesday while 315 remained hospitalized, including eight in severe conditions, the commission said.
